Benefits by Membership Category
Any person directly engaged in the aviation insurance business may apply to become a Premier Member of this Association. Such persons are those who work for an organization or firm that can be categorized into one of the five aviation insurance professional interest groups of the Association (Agent/Broker, Attorney, Claims, Underwriter, Reinsurance).
- Access reduced registration fees to AIA programs and events
- Receive a digital copy of AIA’s magazine, The Binder, published quarterly
- Access to the online membership directory
- Opportunity to post unlimited job openings in the AIA Career Center
- Appear in a listing of Premier Members in one edition of the Binder annually
- Appear in a listing of Premier Members in the Annual Conference program

Any person with an interest in the aviation insurance business may apply to become an Executive Member. Executive Members will be categorized as an active professional, working directly in the aviation insurance industry for a firm or organization that can be categorized into one of the five aviation insurance professional interest groups of the Association (Agent/Broker, Attorney, Claims, Underwriter, Reinsurance).

- Receive a digital copy of AIA’s magazine, The Binder, published quarterly
- Access to the online membership directory
- Opportunity to post 2 job listings in the AIA Career Center each year
- Opportunities to network and develop relationships with stakeholders in the aviation insurance industry

- Eligible to serve on AIA Board of Directors*
- Receive an AIA Membership Milestone Pin (following five years of continuous membership, awarded at an AIA event)
This membership category is open to individuals who have served in aviation insurance full-time for less than three years, and work for a firm or organization that can be categorized into one of the five aviation insurance professional interest groups of the Association (Agent/Broker, Attorney, Claims, Underwriter, Reinsurance). A letter of employment may be requested for verification purposes. Note, following three years as a Discovery Member, your membership type will be automatically transitioned to an Executive Membership.

This is a non-voting member category designed for individuals not directly involved in the creation, sales, and delivery of aviation insurance products and services. This membership category is intended for professionals working for organizations that offer aircraft services (salvage, repairs, parts), consulting services (safety, management), flight training, technology services (AI tools, billing), and other services involved in aviation commerce.

- Receive a digital copy of AIA’s magazine, The Binder, published quarterly
- Access to the online membership directory
- Opportunity to post 2 job openings in the AIA Career Center each year
- A listing of Associate Members in one issue of the Binder (annually)
- Preferred pricing for exhibitor booths at the Annual Conference
- Opportunities to network and develop relationships with stakeholders in the aviation insurance industry
- Eligible to use the AIA logo for business cards and other collateral materials
- Receive an AIA Membership Milestone Pin (following five years of continuous membership, awarded at an AIA event)
Individuals must attend an educational institution full-time and be under the age of 22 to be eligible for this membership category. Proof of enrollment may be requested for verification purposes.
